We look forward to welcoming you to our 25 acre farm based near Welwyn in Hertfordshire with good transport links and beautiful countryside views.
We aim to provide vulnerable people with the opportunity to gain hands on experience caring and bonding with our social animals and assisting with farm based activities.
We offer a calm safe space and a friendly team with facilities and onsite parking.
Care farming and the healing powers of animals can benefit health, wellbeing and social skills, which in turn increases self esteem. It builds independence, communication and positive thinking all whilst learning transferrable skills.

Who can be referred for therapy and who can refer someone for their therapy?
Anyone who has a barrier to their daily living. We currently support mental health, learning disabilities, autism, anxiety and phobias. You can self refer or refer on behalf of a family member, social services, school teachers or sencoo, support worker, carer, occupational health therapists GP or any health professionals.
What happens in a typical therapy session on the farm?
All sessions are designed specifically for the person attending. One of our team will design a plan to ensure the needs of each attendee can be met. Sessions can include group feeding of our farm animals or feeding on a one to one basis. Activities tailored to your goals are set out at the beginning of each session.
Are you open to the general public?
We are not open to the general public due to the nature of our business, we are referral only.
How is the farm funded? Can I support the great work you do?

Do you have insurance?
Yes, we have employers liability and public liability insurance for the farm.
Can I apply for work experience at Strawberry Fields Care Farm?
We are mainly staffed by volunteers and professionals. We are always looking for skilled volunteers, please get in touch if you can help.
